No start, 1984 T8

So my car, a 1984 Turbo 8-valve, was definitely turning over yesterday morning, but definitely refusing to catch. Spent 10 minutes trying, but just wouldn't catch. The battery and starter seem to be perfectly fine, although I have not tested the output of the battery yet. I'm guessing I'm either getting no fuel or no spark. What are the most likely culprits for this and what are the ways I can test them?
As a side note, I have access to a 1989 Turbo SPG parts car, what would the compatability be of possible parts for my no start problem on the T8?
