"Wagonback" was the term used for the 99. Even had a little "Wagonback" script on the cabin vents. "Combi-Coupe" was the overseas version, and internally, they're designated 3CK or 5CK vs 2SN and 4SN and 2CV...
The 2-door 900 was only brought to the US a couple years, 85 & 86, in "S" trim, so you got an 8V motor if you bought an 85, and a 16v motor if you bought an 86. Pretty sure they stopped importing them to the US after MY 1986.
It was conceived as the "low end" replacement for the 99 in Europe, although the 99 continued to 1984, and was replaced by the 90, which was a 99 from the B pillars forward and a 900 2-door from the B pillars back... Oh - and the 99 stopped getting injected around 82 or so. Only carbs for the late 99s & 90s.
But the 900 2 door was the car that the 900 Convertible was designed from...
