The only reason a stock SPG has more "kick" than the Aero, is that the SPG isn't generating any significant sort of power until well off idle (peak torque at 3000 RPM). Then, it suddenly kicks in at 2500 RPMs and up.
The Aero can generate max torque from 1900 RPM, with your foot mashed down (and in second gear or higher...). In a 9-5, Trionic T7 just keeps the power coming.
The SPG may "feel" faster, but the 9-5 Aero should be faster in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times (if you care about those things...).
Also, at 5,000 feet, the Aero is still making 230 HP, while the SPG would be down some, due to the altitude. T7 compensates for the altitude up to almost 10,000 feet...
