they are neither year nor model specific - any cis warm up regulator will do the trick - in fact you can get one from a Vanagon MY 80-86 or so or a golf with cis
make sure yours isn't working before you toss it - put it in the freezer for an hour or so - take a flashlight and shine it down the hole - should be 90% closed or more - maybe just a sliver of light showing through
now apply 12 volts to it - your battery charger will do
in about fifteen minutes it should be fully open
if it doesn't open at all check for an open circuit
then lubricate the insides by putting some light oil in there
then unscrew the small nut - - you can rotate the valve when this is loosened - in fact you adjust the valve to be fully or partially closed when 12 volts is fed to it
