Mystery oil loss

1993 TC. Recently, the oil level has started to drop from full to add after a week of driving. It will go for to or three weeks at full and then drop during the fourth week. NO sign of oil burning on the plugs or at the tail pipe. No sign of water and oil mixing. Some leakage when viewed from below but more or less normal for an engine with 250K Kilometers on it. Drain plug and filter are tight. Any suggestions or experiences with this?
