Troublesome vacuum line at turbo Posted by EverettDave [Email] (#1894) [Profile/Gallery] (more from EverettDave) on Wed, 10 Nov 2010 18:57:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Like any smart veteran Saab owner, I replaced all my vacuum lines when I got this '89 SPG. That cured all kinds of idling and driveability issues. I just bought 10 ft of the appropriate weird sized hose at ScanWest and did the job. However, I always struggle with the turbo servo end of that one vac hose. My hands are not large, I would say average in size, but I find attaching that hose on that short nipple very difficult to do. My solution was to glue 2 inches of larger dia hose on the outside of the smaller hose, to give me a grip for pushing the hose over the nipple. It sort of works, but the hose is often off and has to be replaced.
My question: what solutions have you found helpful?
