HT lead was really well seated. I really had to put effort in trying to get it off the dizzy-cap. So yes it truly was the result of interference (noise) of the HT leads on the little coil in the solenoid.
I am an engineer in mechatronics by profession so I know what high power voltages can do with little sensor wires and pulse-width signals. I only had think of this one first... aren't we all fearing the worst and trying to go for the expensive parts first ;-)
I routed the HT below the vacuum hoses and thats the fix.
