I just bought an 87' Turbo. Unfortunately it's an auto. it's pretty nice though and I got it for a good price but I'm starting to discover some issues. Here they are and I'd appreciate some insight. Thanks in advance
1) If the car is cold and I jam on the gas when the turbo reaches the end of the yellow the car sputters. It makes a bit of noise and shakes and wont accelerate until I let of the gas and let the turbo back to the white. I want to say this is in the 2500 rpm region. It happens every once in a while when warm but not as severe.
2) The tachometer sometimes just stops working. falls to zero then will kick in again.
3) The first three times I hit the brakes after the car has been sitting over night result in an audible and physical thud. After that it's cool.
4) brake peddle is soft. Brake pads and rotors have been recently replaced.
5) no Emergency brake.
6)Scraping in front sound when I turn right.
5)Scraping in front sound when I slow down. It might be there when I go fast but I can"t hear it.
6)Power steering pump is not hooked up. would this cause some of the scraping sounds?
7) The Cruise Control and heated seat works. I have never had a 900 with either of these things working. Are these two things causing the other problems in the car?
