For me its a lot of little things that were clearly well thought out. One example; In the northeast I really appreciate the thought that went into the transition from windshield to hood. There is no depressions, cavities, vents or anything, just a smooth transition to easily clear snow off the front of the car. I really appreciate this well thought out design as I'm attempting to clean my wife's 2002 Volvo V70XC, which has a deep pan that goes down under the hood lip. No way to clear the snow without grabbing it with your hands, and even then some stays in the cavity.
On the 3DHB I love the size of the hatch opening. SAAB really maximized that hatch for easy loading and fitting some monstrous stuff in there.
Aesthetically, I just love the lines of the car. Up to the belt line everything is parallel to the ground, above it you get that marvelous upsweep from the front of the hood to the back of the side windows, then it plunges back down to the low taillights and rear bumper--the latter element was lost in the GM redesign when the shape lost some of it's so-called quirkyness and became more mainstream.
