Hey all!
A few weeks ago I was mentionning on this board about my autobox started to slip, even thogh it was for only a couples days......with yours Saabsenses & experiences with autobox you advised me that by using MerconV was NO subtitutes for Type"f"....I was almost sure it was shut and ready to come to Vermont to do a swap to manual....but tempted a last resort....which I immediately done a TOTAL flush..after this flush tranny was much smoother but would'nt engage from 1rst to second for the next 2 blocks while cold start.........now since the last about 3 weeks NO slipping at all and it run beautifully like it never ran since I purchased it 2 years ago (93 900S vert)since then I've done much miles mostly highways
NOW today as I was heading on the highway running up to 55mph and wanted to rise it to lock it to 60mph....NO MORE DRIVE.....suddenly...no click, noise or even a glimps of slipping prior......just slide like if would be in constant neutral....except do have Park engaging but NO reverse,neutral,drive,1,2..........towed back to the city..while trying it again(without highway noises)...could sense that its trying to engage in all gears but very faintly...
So my question is what the hell happenned what could it be it does'nt engages suddenly.....is it a seequell of the past adventure of a couple months ago...and my impression that it was saved by the TOTAL flush.......or could it be something TOTALLY seperate that just blew up in the tranny???
Sure hope it aint too much to handle..like a total rebuilt which would be rediculous to stick back a eventually cancer again and swapping to manual here in Montreal is way to expensive and now I cant drive it up to Vermont.....somewhat sad "cause it one of the cleanest Blue/dover Gray vert around ...with all in perfect functionning order...except the autoBox........arffffff!!
Would could it be??.......any more direction??
PS:If applies,Sorry for the long expressions......but needed to vetilate!!
