If the seals in the MC are shot it may still move fluid when there is no resistance to moving fluid, i.e. when the bleed nipple is open so the fluid can bypass the slave cylinder. You may be expelling all the air from the system (or not) but once you close the bleed nipple the MC must produce enough force to activate the slave and compress the clutch and if it's seals are bad that's when they will fail to move fluid as desired. So you may or may not be getting all the air out, it doesn't matter the system still won't work if the MC seals are shot. Every time I've ordered clutch MC kits they have had all the seals in them but you can't go wrong with a new MC.
