besides the is your radiator fresh, full, and the harmonic balancer in good shape (if it is slipping the alternator and water pump will not work properly)....
you can pull the two spade wires from the thermostat you replaced on the radiator and using a 30 amp fuse short those two wires together to have the fans run all the time. that should help at anytime you get too hot. if both fans spin, and the car does not cool down, then.... most likely your radiator is really plugged up.
be sure to push the AC button too, some cars are not strapped to run the AC fan unless the button is in. if your AC actually does work and you need the button to make the fan run, you can pull the Clutch wire at the compressor (other ways too) to disable the AC so you can run the fan.
