My suggestion also. My '90 was doing something similar a few weeks ago, & finally ran all warm.

If you don't already have one, get a refrigerant pressure gauge at the auto parts store. Then add more with EnviroSafe. One can fills the entire system (45 psi) & runs as cold as R12.
