I received a new clutch MC from Rockauto and the unit doesn't match their photo. It has what looks like a tank turret sticking up about an inch from the main cylinder and a brass nozzle to receive fluid from the reservior attached to this "turret". While trying to install this yesterday, I found that the extra height (compared to the standard plastic nipple) of the "turret" contacted the bottom of the brake booster and didn't allow it to seat properly (it was pointed down too much due to contact with the brake booster). I could force it to align well enough to work, but a greater problem was aligning the hydrolic hose end to get the threads to start. Seems I would have to bend the crap out of that metal hose to get it to align. (I know through experience that aligning this hose end isn't always easy...but this one is way off).
Anybody used this style of MC? How did you get it to align? Or should I return it? PS, I would have saved a big headache by using site sponsor.
