You cleaned out the little nipple on the elbow at the valve cover, yes? The one that the PCV hose attaches to.
If the car is smoking out the tailpipe on overrun or at idle/on initial takeoff, then it could be the valve stem seals are tired and, during vacuum conditions, the engine is sucking oil past them. However, if by "smoking," you're talking about out the dipstick, then you probably are seeing blowby.
You need to do a compression check.
