You know how the switch contact looks like a little see saw?Well the piece that it rocks on is the fulcrum,or pivot or bridge and any other thing you could call it.What I found in my case is that it got bent and both contacts for up and down were making contact causing the fuse to blow,in other words it didn't rock it just kind of layed across both contacts.I was able to bend it back into shape and have no troubles since.good luck
