I had the exact same symptoms you describe, even down to where the coolant was pooling. My was leaking where the coolant hose from the radiator (well, the coolant actually flows TO the radiator here, but you know what I mean) connects to the front of the engine block, right next to the bleeder valve and thermostat. It's just above the angle hose that Siegfried mentioned.
I found mine by starting the car cold, and squeezing all of the coolant hoses, trying to force any coolant out through a weak point. Then I drove around to get the engine warm, turned the engine off, and did the same thing. The weird thing is, sometimes with the leak, it wouldn't actually start leaking until the engine had cooled off for about 10-15 minutes. If I just sat there and watched it, coolant would start to drip (without squeezing the hoses like I did before) about 15 minutes after the warm engine was turned off). Be carefully to account for drip loop when sourcing the leak! You'll find it.
Let us know what you find!
