So my indie has an 85 SPG that's been sitting next to his shop for about 3 years now. i remember taking note of it shortly after it came in, thinking it would be good donor. When i got my 86 SPG last month, i asked about it and it's been basically abandoned by the owner who has been out of contact for at least 2 years. Apparently in SC there is a tricky set of hoops that a mechanic has to jump through in order to legally gain ownership of a customer's car under certain circumstances. I think he is just now coming around to doing something with it and finally mentioned scrapping it (I let out an audible "Please, NO!" at that point!). So - just wondering if it's really worth trying to get. What parts are of value and becomming difficult to find for my SPG? Hard to know what to offer him - I've got a 99 parts car that I could trade for it if he just wants the scrap value.
