Brake hose removal trick?

I have an 87 900t. I am ding the front brakes and am having a hard time removing the rubber brake hose from where it is attached to the metal line through the fender. When I torque on it the fender starts to bend. I'm worried I'll break it and the metal line on the other side. Does nyone know any tricks?
