...on an SPG, and no member chimed in on yours except to pig-pile on about what ever it was you could mean.

I was pretty sure what you were asking but waited to answer till I could look at mine and verify:

The part in question is held up to the bottom edge of the front bumper cover by several bolts, M4 I think the thread is, with 8mm heads. Just plain steel bolts, running into trademarked fasteners, "Jack-Nuts," on the bumper skin. Eight of them across, from underneath, and two more at ends, COMING DOWN FROM ABOVE inside ends of bumper skin, into jack nuts on air dam itself instead.

Unless you live in an arid part of the USA those will be pretty rusty and likely will break off when you try to get them off. The jacknuts will be hard to remove but can usually be pried with vise grips and eventually wrestled off the plastic. There are sort of U-shaped speed nuts available, clips actually, of spring steel, that will take sheet metal screws and can be found at most hardware stores and in auto parts stores. Probably some size of them is a better answer for reattaching them. They never really rust up to unremovable.

Often on these the bolt will break when you try to loosen them. That's actually good. The bad that will happen is that the jacknut part will start twisting on the bumper skin, and the only answer then is to pry the jacknut down and out of the skin, or pry the air dam off the hex heads, then you can get at the jack nut and mangle it till it comes off.

To get at the two end bolts, you have to take off the end caps that wrap forward from the wheel well to meet the bumper skin. That means a sheet metal screw into a clip at rear on wheel well edge, and then there's a crazy sliding rail on the bodywork with fasteners on inside of the end caps that meet with it, need to be slid back, then will pull outward at bottom and up and off. Awkward to reinstall.
