If you look at the mounting rails of a newer 900 that uses power seats, they are literally flat stock, with holes drilled into it for the mounting screws. The lower mounting carriage basically attaches to the rest of the seat, and if you took the same "upper" portion of the 9-5 seat, it would be fairly easy to crudely adapt it to the 900 tracks.
The difficult part would be making all of the power stuff work properly, as the motors for both back/forth, and recline, are all located in the bottom mounting rail "carriage" and connect up to the upper portion of the seat using hard plastic cased cables.
You'd either have to set the recline where its at and just have no adjustment, or get very crafty.
Another snafu would be the "tip forward" option in a 900 seat to allow passengers access to the rear seat. 9-5's were sedans, and the seats don't have that option. Any rear passenger would be climbing through the center of the car, or over the rear quarter panel if it were a vert with the top down.
