CV Tunnel Rust Repair - Pattern? Posted by Gigantor [Email] (#670) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gigantor) on Wed, 18 Apr 2012 13:49:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was heartbroken to discover severe rust on both CV tunnels while doing my shocks this past weekend. I've been snooping around and see that there is at least one company that offers a repair.
I also see that some guys have made their own.
I am of the latter camp and would like to make them myself on the cheap.
Has anyone done this?
Does anyone have a pattern or template to use?
I imagine that they are the same on each side and just mirror versions of one another. Using a piece of flat stock cut to the appropriate shape, it ought to just be a member of bending the tabs and ears in the right direction to make a patch, right?
If someone has a pattern, even a low res one to work from, I am willing to work it up and make a vector PDF version of it to post out here for all of us to keep our 900s in good, affordable repair.
