Hi
This has been bugging me for years... a dead battery after sitting for the winter.
Yes, I know... any car shouldn't sit for months.
Anyway when it drains, it drains so much the battery wont hold a charge anymore! I always suspected the analog clock was the culprit... somehow draining the battery into a state that it became unrecoverable. Autozone kindly replaced it a few times but last time they only gave me a 50% credit.
So then I read elsewhere that this is a common problem with 900s because the battery is too close to the manifold??? I just did a search here and didnt find anything like that. Is that just nonsense?
I read the post about installing a battery tender and perhaps that my best bet.
Just curious about the manifold thing... I cant even think of what the relationship would be.
