Lowes. Went out to price some lumber, was in the store for maybe 45 minutes, went to start, all the lights on the dash came on and I could
hear what I assume to be the ignition system energizing, but then no
sound, no crank, nada, bumpkiss. Tried moving the tranny selector back and forth, then tried in neutral, etc. opened the hood and moved the ground wires around, as well as the starter wires, nothing. Had to have it towed. Waiting to hear the prognosis. It's a 92 with about 146k on it,
and I'm not sure that I have ever had to replace the starter. Bought the car in the spring of 2000. At least it didn't happen two weekends ago when I was in DC!
