Erik,
A knock detector problem won't cause a "no spark" condition. There's no "shared circuitry" between the starter and ignition circuits. The ignition switch energizes both via two different switch terminals when in "start" position, then ceases energizing the starter circuit when in "run" position. The ignition switch is a likely culprit considering what you've posted so see if you have 12 volts at fuse #3 with the key in the start and run positions? Zero volts when turned off. Let us know what you find and we'll go from there.
