The car is a 1993, right? That means the 2.0 is a turbo motor. The 2.1 is NOT a turbo motor. Engine management is different (LH 2.4 on the 2.0, 2.4.2 on the 2.1, and they are NOT interchangeable), as is ignition (Hall effect distributor based on the 2.0, Bosch EZK with knock sensor and crank sensor for the 2.1). And, of course, the exhaust.
In order to wire it all up, you will need the entire engine bay wiring harness (starting at the fuse box), and the LH controller harness.
Be careful, though, as to the year of your donor. Saab changed the fuse box connectors at some point, and that would mean re-wiring the entire car, if the donor was not the same year as your car.
Oh, and don't forget to plug the turbo water return line, or get the lower radiator hose with the 2.1.
