US still have no clue how to convert Inch to Metric so don't be surprised with different length numbers applied here and there.
And sometimes it could be as easy as the width of the belt.
Early belts were 9.5mm in thickness but for a long time it has been 10mm.
The thicker belts used to be 12.5mm but have been 13mm for a long time as well.
So if someone produces a thinner belt it will dive deeper into the pulley groove and the belt will be too long.
