you should be able to get this done, assuming that the head and valves are okay which they typically are, for about $1,000. what part of the country are you in? There are many that can do this, especially an S, much easier and quicker. about $100 for the gasket kit from eEuroparts, about $100 for the machine shop work (or less) and about $100 for fluids and filters and plugs.
