I've successfully used epoxy on my 900, especially the most rear-tip of the strip.
Been attached for ~5 years, no problems.
She ain't a trailer queen, though.
If you go that route, be sure it's warm enough to harden the 2part epoxy, and design a set of 2x4s to keep'er level when it's hardening.
