You can read descriptions in the archives from people who have removed the assembly without dismantling much but I couldn't match their descriptions a couple of weeks ago when I was doing this job.

I unbolted (but did not break its hose connections) the AC compressor after removing the AC belt. Once loose, the compressor can shift toward the car front by a couple of inches and gives you plenty of room to extract everything regarding the wiper assembly. Without bending any metal.

Unbolting the compressor is only a bit of tedium. It took me about ten minutes to unbolt and shift the compressor.
