To get the EQ out: First you remove the equalizer unit using the removal tools. If you don't have the removal tools, you can put 4 6D finishing nails in the little holes to each side of the unit face to open the retainers and then pull the unit out. That will leave the metal cage in place. To remove that, bend it down from the top and up from the bottom so that the opening is shaped like a bow tie and then pull that out.
If you want to take the whole lower console out: pull up the accordion-looking piece between the lower dash console and the floor console. There are two mounting screws (torx) that hold the base on. Then pull out the ash tray and remove the 4 screws holding the ash tray mount in place and the nut (10mmI think) up in the back. Then you can pull the top of the console down and out to clear the dash. Once you have it away from the dash far enough, remove the 4 screws on the side that hold the plastic piece to the carpeted piece and you can take that off.
Best place to connect an additional 12v outlet is to the wires for the cigarrette lighter in the car. Once you have the console out, I think you can get to the connector from underneath. If not, You can takeout the switches on either side of the cigarette lighter and reach in with your index fingers and unplug it and work on it through one of the switch openings, or the upper radio opening.
