red light on drivers speaker Posted by CBS [Email] (#969) [Profile/Gallery] (more from CBS) on Thu, 24 Oct 2013 17:35:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Dumb question, but thanks to poopdeck, who send me his spare, I hooked up the "new" light with leads and nothing happened. Since I had my carpet up and drivers and back seat out to fix the rusted floor pan, I noticed I had my white alarm box unplugged. And so, plugged it in. The red light immediately went on and didn't blink. For the life of me I can't remember if it was supposed to blink or not -- in fact, my perchance faulty memory tells me it's supposed to blink like the one on the Clarion. Blinky or no blinky?
PS, I'm getting my seldom used in the past two years, rusty but trusty '88 SPG ready for Winter beater duty (same car as above) and am having problems getting the idle and stall syndrome alleviated. Today I sprayed down the mass air sensor with CRC MAF cleaner, sprayed down and toothbrushed the throttle body and took some fine sandpaper to the NTC sensor (though it wasn't badly corroded). No change. As the idle was hunting and almost stalling upon start-up (it stalled once and started right up after but still hunting). It idles fine when warm. I disconnected the connector to the MAF sensor and the idle immediately calmed down, though it wouldn't accelerate properly. Hooked MAF sensor up and it still hunted but accelerated (RPM rose smoothly) but still hunted. Classic bad AMM I assume (sorry same unit as sometimes I'm calling a MAF sensor)?
