I don't know if this is your exact problem, but I had a similar issue years ago, though it was in summer conditions. I had just installed some Bosch Platinum "Plus 4" plugs on the high recommendation of a Saab mechanic. Anytime they got "hot" the car stalled, as in tollbooth traffic. Cooling it for a bit (not long, usually), would allow the car to start. I went through wires, coil, and finally swapped in a set of NGK Gold-Palladium plugs (EVs) that had already done 30k in the car, and it never missed a beat after...
