Not sure what you went with but I'd trust an original Saab part if your indy or someone's parts pile can yield one that hasn't been drenched in motor oil so the rubber softened up, over an aftermarket product.
On install, set belts almost loose, then if they slip tighten a little at a time till they don't. Clean rust and grime off the threads on the adjuster screw and oil it, so it's easy to turn and you can feel when it starts to get tight and that helps too.
