I believe in the '93 the radio is the same as it was on my '96 9000, for which the procedure is:
If you have entered the wrong code too many times, you need to LEAVE THE RADIO ON FOR ONE HOUR and then enter the correct code. If you have any leisure, and can trust your car with ignition on in the drive or garage, this is pretty easy; turn the key to where the radio would work if it had correct code, and make sure radio "on" button is pushed, and wait an hour.
Then you have ONE CHANCE, and one chance only, to enter the correct code, or you have to wait an entire other hour.
So it doesn't happen again, write the code in pencil on the plastic up in where the removable key pad goes, so you can pop key pad out and easily have code there for reference.
If you still have the owner's manual, by the way, it should explain about the code, at end of almost everything else about the sound system.
Oh, you MAY have to hold the band button depressed for more than three seconds before you can enter the code, even after the hour of on-time. It should read CODE or you won't be able to put the code in.
