Proceed with caution on this experiment.....after you drive the car and are going to let it sit, release the coolant tank cap, and let it sit for the same amount of time that you did when it leaked before. If it didn't leak with the coolant cap removed, try a new coolant tank cap and see if that solves the problem.
I had a similar problem, but found three things wrong.....faulty thermostat, coolant tank cap, and a pin hole in the heater hose. Turns out the heater hose had a pinhole leak from rubbing on the AC belt pulley, and had an intermittent leak depending upon the position of the heater control valve.
So, the problem seems to be that there is a pinhole leak that dribbles during cooling off because system pressure isn't being normalized by the cap. I think it's a case you have to look for more than one problem.......sorry it's hard to describe.....
