When I've had vibration on the highway it was caused by dimpling of the the inner driver cup. It would be somewhat more noticeable when accelerating versus steady cruising. As Vvack said the outer CV joint issue is most noticeable at low speed turning. Popping or clicking when turning. Of course you want to be real sure it's not tires before you going digging into axles again. New inner driver cups are $300 new and about $100 for rebuilding yours by Errickson. The rebuild may require you send yours to Connecticut and wait for them to come back. The econo cure is to swap inner driver's from side to side. I've done it without buying parts but it's recommended you replace the axle seals and the bearing housing o-rings. You might need a differential cover gasket. I usually got away with Permatex 518 gasket maker. Figure a good part of a day and you'll need some straight medium size snap ring pliers.
