I had that talk with them a long time ago. To make molded carpeting they have to make fiberglass male and female molds using the floor pan of a car and they won't go to the trouble of getting a floor pan and making the molds unless they believe that they will sell a lot of the product. For the C900 alone there are probably about six permutations of molded carpeting; various years and various body styles (e.g. early vert. is different than late vert. and all verts. are different from all hardtops etc.) I like the idea of throwing in together and maybe providing a floor pan to them but in the meantime I've come to the conclusion that the best thing to do with worn out carpeting is to clean it and repair it with patches from salvaged genuine C900 carpeting. Usually the wear is confined to just a few places and once cleaned the unworn part is still very nice.
