Townsend says "aftermarket water pumps use a stamped impeller that can easy separate or dissolve from the shaft"........say this happened ....would the pump necessarily leak out the weep hole? Is it possible for the water pump impeller to have failed and not be moving the coolant without actually leaking?
At what temperature does the wax pellet in the pump weep hole melt the wax. If the water pump gives a 90 Celcius reading on a thermal temp gun is that normal?
Also is it possible in really cold weather for the heater core to sufficiently cool the motor if little coolant is getting to the rad?
