It was a bit of heavy machinery, indeed - I learned a lot about mechanical things from it through doing valve jobs and taking the auto transmission apart to replace the reverse band when it broke (had to park it where I could either drive through or roll back by gravity.) Those were the days ...
9^5s are nice cars. Much more civilized (and much more complicated) than C900s - kind of a blessing and a curse.
Re your daily driver ... As Poop Deck Pappy on the C900 board says when I drive up to his place in my wife's Camry, "Curse you, Toyota reliability!" :-)
