Using a stethoscope might help to isolate where it is. A similar high pitch noise I heard was the check valve failing that is near the valve cover vent. Take a length of hose and connect it to where the check valve is and let the engine idle -- see if the noise goes away when the check valve is not between the intake manifold and the valve cover. Don't apply boost to a line that doesn't have the check valve in the correct direction so you don't put manifold pressure into the crankcase.
