Congratulations on your new car. I picked up a '90 vert recently - much fun to drive.
The oil leak could be any number of things depending on exactly where it's leaking, among which are:
- rear main seal
- primary shaft seal or cover gasket (if it's a 5-speed)
- oil drain plug gasket
- cracked oil drain plug hole
- rear plate
- transmission gasket
- Turbo oil return line O-ring
On my newly-acquired vert, it was primary shaft seal, oil drain plug gasket, turbo drain line O-ring, and the engine-to-transmission gasket.
See if you can determine which points it's dripping from by putting a piece of cardboard underneath it overnight.
