I did that job on my '90.
Not a bad job but a bit sloppy when doing it under the car.

When you pull the bearing carrier make sure that you keep the shims with the bearing carrier that they came from. They're assymetrical, so use a wire tie to keep them in the right orientation like the blue one on the bearing carrier picture below.
Lube the o-rings with oil before you start to reassemble.
I used Permatex No. 2 as a thread sealer.
