You need to discharge the air bag capacitors. Disconnect the neg battery terminal. The just touch the neg clamp to the positive terminal. The air bag is held in the back by two T30 machine screws. They are cocked at a slight outward angle so feel around to make sure you're square on the head. I've had several where the bearing was also getting sloppy. I use a 22mm or 7/8" socket on the steering wheel nut. Loose the nut until you are just free of the nylock friction. Then pull the wheel back using alternate left and right pulling force until it pops free. The splined shaft lacks any kind of alignment. You'll need to set the wheel straight ahead before and during. Remove the wheel gently while feeding the clock spring and horn plugs thru the tight hole in the wheel. Make note of the male pin's position on the clock spring so it gets reassembled the way it was when the wheel came off.
