A pulley puller won't help.
The issue on these alternators is taking the nut off the pulley. It's on there tight and it's almost impossible to get it off with a socket. An impact wrench makes it easy to loosen the nut. The pulley pretty much drops off when the nut is off.
A cheapie electric impact wrench can be gotten from Harbor Fright for around 40 bucks with their 20% off coupon. I got one years ago. You'll wonder how you ever got by without it.
Google "3.1 Electrical System, instrument" to find a PDF of the C900 electrical manual. Section 321 has directions on rebuilding the alternator.
