Within a given brand, an O2 sensor is an O2 sensor. The only thing that varies is the connector and the length of wire. Given you're talking OE Bosch vs. universal Bosch, it doesn't matter one iota.
However, if you're talking OE Bosch vs. universal parts store brand, stick with Bosch. Different O2 sensors can have different characteristics which can upset fuel injection systems. Especially when you're talking cheap brands - performance and lifespan can both be iffy.
That said:
1. I don't think the fuel injection system on a Saab can possibly care *that* much. It's just not very advanced. You can probably run most any modern sensor and be fine. 20 years ago when O2 sensors were still fancy tech you wanted to stick with Bosch, but these days everything has multiple O2 sensors - the off brands just can't be that off.
2. I'm really down on Bosch sensors these days. Not on Saabs, but on other cars I have noticed that Bosch sensors don't tend to work as well as Denso and NGK ones. Somewhere, I read that Denso or NGK (I honestly don't remember which) uses a newer technology the results in a superior sensor. Been meaning to figure it out but haven't.
3. My XR4Ti came OE with an unheated (1-wire) Bosch O2 sensor and on the advice of a Miata owner I swapped it out with a 4-wire (heated, grounded) Denso sensor. My Miata-owning friend said it's a common mod in Miataland and the 4-wire sensors yield better performance and better economy. I have observed similar results on my XR4Ti - it's never run so well! I plan on installing a 4-wire Denso on my SPG sometime in the next few months and see what it yields. 4-wire sensors aren't much more expensive - maybe $60 instead of $30.
