Seems you really like the c900. Doing your own brakes is generally easy and a good way to get started on DIY cost savings work. Another is basic tune-up stuff like, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, filters and engine/trans oil changes. Axles usually last a long time and rarely need replacing unless the boots have been torn and neglected for years. If they just need new boots, while you are doing the brakes a good time to replace the boots and you will learn a few tricks in the process. Get a Bentley manual and these few things alone will likely save you more than the street value of the car in commercial mechanic labor charges. Your local NAPA or other parts house will have most of the stuff you need and the on-line Euro house as well if you can wait for the shipping. Maintaining your own c900 is very satisfying and learning how is a big part of it. Have fun!
