There is a liquid brush on black insulation. I think I bought my at Auto Zone. Its the right color and does provide water proofing. I was parting out/junking a 92 vert recently and noticed almost all the insulation on all the abs sensor wires was gone. I also found a place on the engine wiring with the insulation missing. I taped and brushed on that liquid insulation to the engine wiring but considered the ABS lines to be too far gone. Conclusion. The dead mouse in the air filter box, thrived on the abs cable insulation, probably thinking it black licorice. HOWEVER when he ate the engine wiring that happened to be red (red licorice?) it went into the air filter holder box and died (of starvation ?)or the splinter of copper wire it ate. Lesson: Drive your car frequently and drop those wire eating little B------s at a BMW dealership.
