I appreciate the responses everyone. I spoke with Brian my mechanic today and it just seems like there is too little actual material up there (all the black in the photos is fiberglass..... I do agree that a frame welder could be more optomistic, but there are other places on the car that don't have too many miles left. Currently the plan is to look for a good body with a blown transmission/engine for the right price. I'll keep you posted
