Looks like ours has gone south. Can only generate a 11.6V drop. I already put a new voltage regulator in, and the old one coming out still had enough brush length to work (>5mm, more like 8-10mm). I did use a non-Bosch replacement (from eeuro), probably should have got bosch, but I think replacing the whole thing might be the best bet...
so, how big of a PITA is this, eg compared to a starter (which I've done already)? this is a 1993 900s. There are a bunch of hoses in the way. I've searched this bb. Sounds like the best bet is to disconnect hoses and remove the whole bracket. Any good advice/mjor gotchas? anything I should do at the same time? Am I better off sending the car to our indy?
